Life Wisdom Of The Five Elements

Nature-Based Healing & Transformation

The ancient five element teachings from Chinese Medicine provide a pathway to health, happiness and a way for people to deeply understand how nature functions, and how we, as humans, are part of nature, and reflect the same patterns as nature. This is a whole worldview that has powerful teachings for individuals, groups, businesses, couples, families and more.

Five Element practitioners see people (organizations, couples, etc) not only as they present themselves in illness or challenge, but as they would be in perfect health and balance, in full discovery of their true nature. What is your true nature? Are you living by it?

This system looks at each season - and how our emotions, our bodies, and even our thoughts relate to the seasons. We have Wood (Spring), Fire (Summer), Earth (late Summer), Metal (Autumn), and Water (Winter). With each season there are emotions that are most predominant.

So in spring, the emotion is anger. Springtime has a powerful energy moving up and out, you can see it everywhere in nature. We talk about what that feels like on the inside, especially if one feels anger, irritation, frustration due to a perceived “injustice” (we use language appropriate for whatever age).

We allow nature to help us heal the places that may be hurting. In Five Element teachings, we learn about the cycles of the seasons, the cycles of a day, the cycles of a lifetime, and how to live in harmony and balance. We look at where things are stuck and how to release those places to access free flowing energy to live the most meaningful life, to run the most powerful business, to have the most fulfilling relationships.

So, for example, for Winter (Water), the emotion is fear. We may talk about how winter asks us to slow down, to rest, to allow our energy to be in a quieter place. And we look at the emotion of fear, and how that relates to winter. Where can we see that in nature? And then how do we work with our own fear? Where are we/ our business/ our relationship stuck in fear? What do we do to change this?
